Rev. Buddy Eugene Edwards

Rev. Buddy Eugene Edwards, 78, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with Jesus on Monday, September 5, 2022, at Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Dante, VA, on January 29, 1944, the son of Albert D. Edwards and Cora E. Edwards. He married Lavona Ruff on July 19, 1969, in Lebanon, VA. He was a Reverend and preached the word of God in many churches in the Kingsport area and Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years; Lavona Edwards; sons, Ronnie and Donnie Edwards; brothers, Kenneth Edwards, Bobby Edwards, and Tom Edwards; and sister, Pauline Moore.

Buddy is survived by his daughter, Christine; and son, Mike; grandchildren, Heather, Joseph, and Holly; great-grandchildren, Brooke Edwards and Addison Zullo; two god grandsons, Aaron Brummett and Sincere Gillenwater; sister, Judy Kaywood; niece, Brandi Kaywood; nephew, Tommy Kaywood; and several other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Howard Edwards officiating.
