Richard L. Packard

Richard L. Packard, 98, of Kingsport, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020. Born in Chicago, IL, he had resided in Kingsport since 1976. Richard had retired from AFG. One of the highlights in his career was when he was on the team that invented bullet proof glass. He was a jazz musician in Chicago prior to moving to Kingsport.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Packard; and son, Ricky Packard.

Richard is survived by his son, Carlos Packard and wife Misty; daughter, Nomusa Xaba; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
