Robert Lee Munal Sr

Robert Lee Munal, Sr., 75, of Kingsport, died after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Holdenville, Oklahoma, he had resided in Kingsport for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman in Bethesda, Maryland. Lee enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. John Munal and Katherine Jane Munal; brother, John T. Munal; and grandson, Andrew Wesley Anderson.

Lee is survived by his wife, Nancy Munal of the home; two daughters, Tammy Lea Anderson and husband, Terry of Lugoff, SC, and Terry Lynn Childers and husband, Bill of Gray; son, Robert Lee Munal, Jr. and wife, Scott of Blountville; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and three step-sons, Jeffrey Salaita and wife, Dawn of Piedmont, SC, Michael Salaita and wife, Deb of Johnson City and Eric Salaita of Kingsport.

A private memorial service was held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home.
