Robert Glenn Spangler

Robert Glenn Spangler, 76, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022. As a lifelong resident of the Kingsport community, Robert attended Sullivan High School before joining the Air Force at age 17, where he served in Vietnam. Robert’s life was simple, but his years were filled with family, friends, and fond memories.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Kate Hatfield; daughter, Lynda Spangler; and two grandsons, Travis and Taylor Davidson.

Robert is survived by his father, Bob Spangler; son, Robert Spangler II and wife Audrey; granddaughter, Alexandra Spangler; sister, Lana Quillin and husband Randy; nephews, Justin Quillin and wife Tanya and Josh Quillin; and great nieces and nephews, Duncan, Karaline, Embree, and Audrey.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at American House, Avalon Hospice, and the V.A., for their loving and wonderful care.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Justin Quillin officiating.
