Robin Elaine Painter

Robin Elaine Painter, 63, of Kingsport, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. A lifelong resident of Kingsport, Robin lived her life with a heart full of joy, an unwavering faith, and a rare gift for finding the sunshine in every single day. If you ever knew Robin, you knew a woman who could turn the simplest moment into a celebration and make everyone around her feel instantly cherished. Robin’s life was a song of praise. She shared her musical gifts and deep love for ministry with her community for many years, serving on staff at Kingsport First Assembly Church and as a faithful, lighthearted presence at New Hope Evangelical Church. When Robin sat down at the piano, the room lifted. When she led the Kid Crew, her infectious enthusiasm brought the Bible to life for generations of children, teaching them that faith was something to be lived joyfully and shared generously.

Nothing brought Robin greater pride or delight than her role as "Nana." She was her granddaughters’ absolute biggest cheerleader, sitting front-row at every sports game with eyes full of pride and a voice that could be heard above the crowd. She loved life's quiet pleasures just as much — getting lost in a good true crime book, singing along to her favorite songs, and turning ordinary afternoons into fond memories for those she loved. To Robin, every day was a gift, and every person was worth loving well.

Her bright legacy of love lives on through her mother, Ellen Burchfield; her daughter, Ashely Painter; her beloved granddaughters, Kailey Crawford, Lilly Crawford, Abby Crawford, and Elly Crawford; her best friend, Teresa Hopkins; as well as a rich circle of extended family, lifelong friends, and her cherished New Hope church family.

A celebration of Robin’s life, faith, and joy will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at New Hope Evangelical Church in Kingsport, Tennessee. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM.
