Roger Carl Blevins

Roger Blevins, 53, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. He was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett and had lived in Kingsport most of his life. He worked at WKPT for 35 years as a programmer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Blevins, and sister, Joyce Blevins.

Roger is survived by his mother, Dorothy Blevins of the home; three brothers, Mark Blevins and wife, Donna, Steve Blevins and wife, Sherry and David Blevins; two sisters, Gloria Hammond and husband, Brad, and Angela Blevins; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Musick officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m.
