Ronald Paul Lewis

Ronald Paul Lewis, age 66, passed away on December 18, 2025, in Kingsport, Tennessee. He was born on April 8, 1959, and spent most of his life in Preston, Connecticut, where he developed a deep appreciation for land ownership and the outdoors.

Ron was the beloved son of the late Alton P. Lewis and Dorothy C. (Maine) Lewis. Throughout his career, he was known as a skilled and dedicated maintenance professional, earning the respect of his colleagues during his many years of service at William W. Backus Hospital. His hands were not only tools of his trade but also instruments of his passion for carpentry, through which he found great joy in building custom hutches.

On a beautiful day on their land in Preston, Connecticut, Ron married his great love , Patricia A. Lemieux-Lewis, ( Patti ). Together, they built a life with great support for one another . In retirement, they moved to their home in Kingsport, Tennessee. Sadly and unexpectedly, Patti preceded him in death on August 27, 2021.

Ron is survived by his two daughters, Heather Lewis and Tammy (Lewis) Stott; his sisters, Jane Lewis and Nancy McKay; four granddaughters; as well as an aunt, two uncles, cousins, and nephews.

A passionate landowner, Ron’s heart belonged to the outdoors. Especially in his younger years, he was an avid gardener, hunter, and fisherman, often finding solace in nature’s quiet embrace. It was in those peaceful moments, surrounded by the beauty of the earth, that he seemed most alive. He will be remembered for all the moments that showed that happiness, his smile and funny laugh.

Ron—“Dad”—may you have finally found peace and rest easy now with Patti, together again in an eternal place of grace.
