Ronald Morrison, Sr.

Ronald R. Morrison, Sr., age 70, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away peacefully with his son by his side on Friday, February 28, 2026. Born in Wilmington, Delaware to Ralph and Jeanette Seal Morrison, Ron moved to Kingsport in 1992 where he worked for Air Products and Chemicals until he retired in 1999. Following his retirement, Ron went to work for McDonald’s Corporation, retiring from there in 2020. He worked hard to provide for his family. They were the most important people to him. He loved being around his kids and grandkids. Ron was a member of New Life Freewill Baptist Church, serving as the Choir Director and as a Deacon for many years. All Ron wanted to do was go to church and back home. He was extremely dedicated to the church, helping with any work that needed to be done.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Jeanette Morrison; wife, Connie Morrison; and daughter, Jennifer Parton.

He is survived by his son, Ronald R. Morrison, Jr. (Tess); son-in-law, Greg Parton; grandchildren, Brittany, Rylei and Penelope Morrison, Alyssa Parton (Hunter) and Noah Grubb; great-grandchildren, Mallory and Brynlie; and sister, Lorraine Barnes.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ronald’s Church family at New Life Freewill Baptist Church for their prayers.

The family will receive friends from 12pm – 1pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at New Life Freewill Baptist Church, 2444 Rock Springs Rd, Kingsport. A service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Rev. Hal Calhoun officiating.

A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 16340 Kingsport Hwy, Fall Branch.

Pallbearers will be Ron Morrison, Jr., Mark Durnin, Scott Peters, Terry Jones, Jerry Wright, and Scott Roller.
