Ronnie G. Chase

Ronnie G. Chase, 80, of Piney Flats, went to be with the Lord late Saturday evening, June 27, 2026, following a lengthy illness. Ronnie was born in Kingsport and attended Holston High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War. Ronnie was an employee of Mead Corporation, where many knew him as TDC. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Ronnie was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt, but most of all he loved his family.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Eileen Chase; sisters, Margie Slagle and Ozena Carroll; brothers, Jim Chase and Don Chase; grandson, Tanner Chase Kitts.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Terri Chase; daughter, Delilah Kitts and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Hannah Kitts, Lauren Kitts Adkins and husband, Dilan.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dwayne Locklear officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be presented by VFW Post 4933, Boone Dam – Kingsport, TN.

Pallbearers will be Dilan Adkins, Wesley Elder, Bill Copas, Gerald Trent, Mark Copas and Rick Steadman. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Kitts, Tim Blizzard, Millard Johnson, Larry Weaver and Jim Slaight.
