Roxie Jean Depew

September 16, 1936 – August 22, 2025

Roxie Jean Depew, our dear mother, Mamaw Jean, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on August 22, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Foncila (Shipley) Depew; sisters, Rose Schuster and Linda Hensley; her son, Roger Lee Depew.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tommy Watts and wife Debra; grandchildren, Josh Watts (Kyndall), Andrew Watts, Jen Depew (Katie); step granddaughter, Beth Monette (Robert); great-grandchildren, Silvia Watts and Max Watts; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Depew; several nieces and nephews and their children.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim Davies and Billy Bryant officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.
