Sarah Tubbie Hood

Sarah Tubbie Hood, 60, of Rogersville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. She resided in Hawkins and Sullivan Counties.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Lloyd Russell; husband, Robert Hood; sister, Sheila Hawkins; and brother-in-law Larry Belcher.

Sarah is survived by her daughter, Robin Hood Light and husband, James; son, Travis Hood and wife, Jackie; granddaughter, Nakisha Lane and special companion, Gary Conkin; very special friend, Sharon Conkin; mother, Lucille Russell; sisters, Mary Tina Leamon and husband, Jim, Sandra Fletcher and husband, Terry, and her twin sister, Sally Babe Belcher; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 29th, from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Randall Stapleton officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, March 1st, at 11:00 am at Mount Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Bobby Bernard officiating.
