Sharon O. Berntsen

Sharon O. Berntsen, 60 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, Sunday morning, December 14, 2025 following a brief illness. Sharon was born in Kingsport and resided here for most of her life. She was a graduate of Sullivan North High School and worked as a bail bondsman and bounty hunter.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Ketil Berntsen; parents, Wilburn “Jiggs” H. and Glenna Faye Osborne.

Survivors include her sisters, Patricia McGee and husband Sam and Deborah Bowen and husband Johnny; niece, Misty Weaver.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 16. 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport or at any time at the home of her sister, Patricia at 1904 Grandby Rd., Kingsport, TN 37665. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mark Ball officiating.

Friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside services on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
