Shelby Jean Irvin

Shelby Jean Irvin, 84, of Fordtown, went to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. She graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and began her career in real estate while raising her family. Shelby could be found at the Fort Henry Mall working at Hickory Farms and also catering in later years. She enjoyed traveling, never missed a sporting event or horse show.

Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Goldie Williams; husband, Hollis Irvin; sons, Fitz Triplett, Tony Irvin and Brent Irvin; grandson, Jamie Triplett.

She is survived by sons, Kent Triplett and wife Shelley and Brian Irvin and wife Kristen; daughter, Pam Irvin and husband Marco Martinoli and Virginia Triplett; grandchildren, Brandon Triplett and wife Ashleigh, Kristopher Triplett and wife Olga, Sydney Triplett, Mandy Irvin, Caleb Cobb, Brittany Cobb, Amanda Martinoli, and Lorenzo Martinoli; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.
