Shirley Light

Shirley Ann Light, 75, of Mt. Carmel, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024. Born in Kingsport she moved to Mt. Carmel as a child and graduated from Dobyns-Bennett in 1967. Following graduation, she took on a full-time job of caring for her family and being an awesome aunt. She was a loving, wonderful person who had a heart of gold for everyone. Shirley was a music lover and could tell you all things about country music. She was a good sister, loved a good joke, and was always so fun to be around. 

She was preceded in death by her sister, Imogene Light; brother, Bobby Light and wife Ruth Ann; and parents, Charlie and Mary Ann Light.

Shirley is survived by her very special niece, Rhonda Light-Potter and husband Tim Potter; several cousins; and neighbor, Eve Martin.

Services will be held at a later date.
