Soon Mikala Fuller

Soon Mikala Rozett Fuller, 62, of Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2022. Soon was born in Seoul Korea on July 20, 1960, where she lived in an orphanage till she was brought to America to be the youngest child of seven in her family in 1963. Soon grew up in Great Falls, MT until she left in 1979 to join the Navy where she served overseas till 1986. She made several lifelong friends during her time serving that she would fondly recount stories about. Soon’s personality was much larger than her tiny frame, filling all she was around with laughter and joy. Her infectious laugh was contagious and her sense of humor ranged from crude to jovial. Her love of children was apparent from her years of working and running several daycare centers from California to Tennessee. That love grew even larger after the adoption of her grandchildren. Whom she spoiled whenever she could. Soon liked to spend a lot of her time at the Kingsport Senior Center learning new crafts like basket weaving and pottery, where she made many friends. She found a real love for basket weaving, so much so that she dedicated a whole room to the craft. Soon was a fierce friend and was always willing to lend a helping hand if she was able. She loved her family so very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur James and Alyce K Rozett.

Soon is survived by her husband, David O’Donnell; two sons, Carson Coldiron and husband Jason, and Ellis Fuller and husband Tyler Shannon; four grandchildren, Cherrokee, Denver, Railey, and Rycen (little Buddha); six siblings, Terri Traber, Stevie Erving and husband Dan, Mark Rozett and wife Jessica, Scott Rozett and husband Jess, Paul Rozett and wife Sandie, and Dion Rozett; and fourteen nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military rites by The American Legion Posts #3/265.
