Summer Leslie Kilgore

Summer Leslie Kilgore, 25, of Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center after fighting a long battle with epilepsy. She was born in Kingsport and was a lifelong resident of Blountville.

Summer lived a life making every day count. She was dealt a hand that put limitations on her life that she refused to accept. Life, to her, was a precious gift from God that she was determined never to waste.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Howard Leslie Jones; paternal grandparents, Henry Kilgore Jr. and Mamie Lee Kilgore; and her uncle Randy Jenkins who she loved so very much.

Summer is survived by her parents, Donald and Leshia Kilgore; sister, Lauren Kayla Dillon and husband, Montana; maternal grandmother, Bertha Jones; 2 beloved nieces, Maggie Dillon and Sophia Dillon; several very loving and caring aunts, uncles, and cousins; 3 very close, lifelong friends, Brittany, Sara and Rachel; a very close and caring lifelong friend, Jessie Hayes; and faithful furry companion, Bailee.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8:00 pm at North Kingsport Church of God. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Wayne Morelock officiating, and assisting, Rev. Tim Owens, Rev. Charles Bogle, and Rev. Jerrod Manning.
