Suzanne M. Nicely

Suzanne M. Nicely, 83, of Kingsport, died Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center, after a brief illness. Born in Charles Town, WV, she had resided in Kingsport since 1966. Suzanne retired from Blountville Elementary School after 25 years of teaching. She loved to travel, read, children, nature and spending time with her friends “lunch bunch” and family. Suzanne was a member of The Red Hat Society.

Suzanne is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard C. Nicely.

She is survived by daughters, Malinda Nicely Williams and husband, Scott of Kingsport, Marty Nicely Gregory of Knoxville and Marjorie Nicely Miller and husband, Hal of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Chad Gregory, Connor Gregory and Megan Brannon and husband, Kyle; one great-grandson, Brock Gregory; three half-sisters, Brenda Ingle, Carol Hoover and Beth Hartenfels; and several nephews.
