Ted Wampler

Ted Wampler, 81, of Kingsport, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2022. Born in Kingsport, he had resided in this area his entire life.  He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved to spend his time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny
Allen Wampler.

Ted is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sarah Wampler; daughter-in-law, Cindy Wampler Kilgore; sons, Mike Wampler (Shannon) and Mark Wampler (Delona); 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his special furbaby, Miss Kitty.

The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 pm on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Lynn Garden Baptist Church. The memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Rick Meade and Pastor Carl Strickler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
