Thelma Inez Seneker Carico

Thelma Inez Seneker Carico, 101, Blountville, TN, died peacefully Friday morning, October 3, 2014. Thelma was born in Bristol, TN, and had resided in the Blountville area her entire life.

After graduating from Blountville High School and Virginia Intermont, she taught school in the Sullivan County School system at Central Heights Elementary School. Mrs. Carico was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Carico; her parents, Henry and Maude
Jenkins Seneker; three brothers, Ernest, Bob, and Lee Seneker; six sisters, Nancy Seneker, Ella Lane, Ada Keys, Anne Gardner, Louisa Lewis, and Henrietta Seneker.

Thelma is survived by three daughters, Paula Stauffer and husband, David, Rhoda
Franklin and husband, John, and Nancy Jackson and husband, Maurice, all of Blountville;
six grandchildren, Michelle Stauffer Cotten and husband, Thomas, Dr. Deborah Stauffer Carson and husband, Dr. Bill Carson, Chris Franklin, Eric Franklin and wife,
Dr. Elizabeth Franklin, Jennifer Zasio and husband, Terry, and Rachel Kerlin and husband, Chris; nine great-grandchildren, Hannah, Alex, and Drew Cotten, Laine, Jacob and Tate Carson, Dylan and Zoey Zasio, and Henry Kerlin.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. David Hendrix officiating. The graveside service will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Max Keys, Jeffery Carico, Clifton Carico, Joey Carico, Tommy Carico, and Allen James. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Jim Seneker, Clay Seneker, Jonathan Keys, Joe Keys, J.E. Henry, and Tony Henry.
