Celebrating the Life of Tyler Scott Hite

Tyler lived his life for his Harper Ray of SONshine. He loved fiercely and had a sweet ol’ soul—genuine, kind, and as real as they come. A conversation with Tyler could remarkably turn your whole day around. A friend like him does not come along often, and his presence brought light to the lives of everyone who knew him. Tyler was a light in this world whose presence can never be replaced.

Though his absence leaves a place in our hearts that can never be filled, we hold on to the hope that the best is yet to come—that one day, we will be reunited in glory. That hope gives us strength to face even the hardest of days and reminds us that love endures beyond this life.

Tyler was preceded in death by his beautiful son, Arie Brey Hite; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Gail Way; his paternal grandparents, Bob and Martha Hite; his uncles, Craig Way, Joe Hubbard, and Dave Hite; and his cousin and friend, Joseph Way.

He is survived by his son, Harper Ray Hite; his mother, Sherry Johnson; his father, Scott Hite; his sister, Ashley Hite; his brother, Levi Johnson; and his sisters, Samantha Hite and Rhianna Hite. He also leaves behind nephew, Titus Hite; his niece, Taylin Steadman; nephew, Dallas Johnson; nephew, Parker Hite; his aunt, Jeanne Hubbard; aunt, Sharon Hite; aunt, Barbara Ketron, and uncle, Charles Ketron; many beloved cousins; friends, and his Brotherhood, the Men of Fire MC Mother Chapter.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm till 3:00pm on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
