Vendetta Gay Hite

Vendetta Gay Hite of Fall Branch, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on June 10, 1943, to Luther and Alieu Hite in Kingsport, Tennessee. After graduating from Fall Branch High School, she began a 45-year career at AFG Industries. Vendetta enjoyed gardening, especially cultivating a wide variety of flowers. She was an avid cook and enjoyed sharing her recipes with family and friends. Vendetta was very active in her community, volunteering at events such as Funfest, the Appalachian Fair, and at her church, Logans Chapel Methodist. One event she looked forward to, the church bazaar where she created decorative wreaths and baked delicious cakes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Alieu, and her brother, Kevan Hite.

She is survived by several dear cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Hamlett- Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch Chapel. The funeral will immediately follow with Chris Parks officiating.

Graveside will follow the funeral service at Logans Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
