Wayne A. Slagle

Wayne A. Slagle, 82, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord early Monday morning, June 12, 2023, at his home. Wayne was born in Clintwood, VA and grew up in McClure, VA before moving to Kingsport and began his career at Eastman. He was a member of Church of Christ of Kingsport, where he was very active until failing health.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Emma Kate Slagle; brothers, Jim and Charles Slagle; brothers-in-law, Roy Stephenson and C.W. Talbert.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Slagle; sisters-in-law, Shelby Stephenson and Glenna Frye Anderson and husband, David; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:30-12:30 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 in the funeral home chapel with Tom Kinzel and Phillip Mullins officiating.

Graveside services will follow at Temple Hill Cemetery in Castlewood, VA.
