William “Bill” Collins II, 76, of Mount Carmel, Tennessee, passed away on June 28, 2026, at TriStar Centennial Hospital in Nashville. Born on November 14, 1949, in Richlands, Virginia, Bill lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, and friendship to all who knew him.
For more than 41 years, Bill faithfully served as a Postal Worker with the United States Postal Service. He took pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout his career. A man who loved the Lord, Bill found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan and a devoted supporter of the Cincinnati Reds, especially his boyhood hero, Rocky Colavito. He and Karen enjoyed many memorable trips through Cades Cove together, creating cherished memories along the way. Bill will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his kind heart, and his ability to make a friend wherever he went.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith Collins; parents-in-law, Jason and Loretta Tiller; and brothers-in-law, Jason, Larry, and Stanley Tiller.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Karen Collins; his sister, Patricia Honaker; sisters-in-law, Sharon Burleson, Eva Stiltner, and Nancy Hess; several nieces and nephews, including three great-nieces and two great-nephews; and special friends, Ed Brickey, Cheryl Calhoun, Jack Johnson, and Cindy Estes.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Ryan Shaffer officiating. A graveside service will follow Oak Hill Memorial Park.
