Wilma Harrison

Wilma Jean Harrison, 70, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, November 12, 2019, following an extended period of poor health. Wilma had been a resident of Kingsport for most of her life. She had served as a school crossing guard for a number of years in Kingsport. Wilma was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Harrison in 2017; infant son, James Harrison Jr.; and brother, Gary Harvey.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Cavitt and husband, Douglas; sons, Steve Harrison and James Harrison; grandchildren, Colton Noah Cavitt and Andrew Oliver Cavitt; sisters, Geneva Wood and husband, Joe, Brenda Harvey and Donna Harvey; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm with Brother Steve Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
