Bernice C. Ellis

Bernice C. Ellis, 82, Blountville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 24, 2019. Born in Scott County, VA she had resided most of her life in Blountville. Bernice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Mattie Carter, and brother, Jay Carter.

Bernice is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ellis; daughter, Cindy Rowland and husband, Gary; son, Mark Ellis and wife, Diane; 5 grandchildren, Brandi Baker & husband, Wes, Taylor Rowland, Stephanie Ellis, A.J. Rowland and fiancée, Whitney Laurent, and Tiffany Ellis; 3 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Carson and Jackson; sister, Marie Robinson; brother, Raymond Carter; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.  The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Eddie McAmis officiating.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
