Betty Jo Arabie

Betty Jo Arabie, 92, of Kingsport passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at The Wexford House following an extended illness. Betty Jo was born in Billmore, MO on March 7, 1927 a daughter of the late Almus Thomason and Leo (Netherland) Thomason.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Phipps Arabie; sisters, Shirley Thomason and Don Thomason; and special cousin, Wanda Jean Simpson.

She is survived by special cousins, Kay (Netherland) Hartsock, Sue (Netherland) Hertzog and Bob Netherland, as well as several other cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00am on Thursday, January 16, 2020 in the Mausoleum Chapel at East Tennessee Cemetery, 2630 Highway 75, Blountville, TN 37617 with Rev. Scottie Sexton officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum. Those attending services are asked to assemble at the mausoleum by 9:45am Thursday.
