Bill Orrick

Bill Orrick, 82, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 5, 2019.  He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Bill was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was the longest tenured member of Calvary Baptist Church.  He was an avid Dobyns-Bennett and UT Vols Football fan.  Bill retired from TN Eastman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Eula Orrick; 2 sisters, Pat Simpson and Sharon Bolling; and 2 brothers, Lucian and Jim Orrick.

Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Billie Orrick; several nieces and nephews; a host of other family members; and his church family.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm with Dr. Donnie Brannen and Rev. Richard Harris officiating. The burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Chris Brock, Chris Lawhead, Jerry Gillis, Sam Brock, Tom Gilbert, Justin Gillis and David Lawhead.  Honorary pallbearers will be LaMar Herndon, John Miller and Clifford Simpson.
