Coy Barrett

Coy Barrett, age 92, of Canton, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020.

Coy was born March 11, 1927, Surgoinsville, TN, to the late Coy E. and Flora G. (Walters) Barrett.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara; children, Sondra Barrett, Linda (Dave) Brown, Sharron (Tom) Jenkins and Mark (Tammy) Barrett; grandchildren, Robert Sprytzer, Chris Ostrander, Karen Boden, Angela Block, Robin Baber, Jessica Merrill, Ashley Moe, and Randy Barrett; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.  Coy had 5 siblings, Andrew Barrett and the following deceased, Gradie Barrett, Ray Barrett, Mollie Jean Stapleton and Kathryn Dotson.

Coy will be carefully transferred to Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, TN  where the family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2020.  The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Lynn Stapleton officiating.   Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Surgoinsville, TN.
