Edward W. “Edd” Little, 66, of Kingsport, went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully, Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital in Bristol. Born in Sullivan County, TN, on August 17, 1953, a son of the late R.F. and Marie Little, he resided in this area his entire life. Edd retired in 2006 from Eastman Chemical Company, following 28 and ½ years of service. He is a member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, where he was an Honorary Deacon. Edd will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, dad, papaw, brother, and friend, who loved his family, church family, and the Lord. He was a lead singer for the Lights for Christ Group, an avid hunter, and loved to play his guitar.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, David Little; grandparents, Bob and Eva Little, and Paul and Lela Bullion.

Edd is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joyce Brickey Little; daughters, Carolyn Barrett and husband Shannon, Vicky Gillig and Robert Krug, and Susan Samples and husband Bob, all of Kingsport; four granddaughters, Brianna Taylor, Kristen Ward, Cora Little, Rosie Samples ; two grandsons, Cody Barrett and Tyler Thompson; two great-granddaughters, Abigail Hinkle and Elena Loftis, and soon to be great grandson, Mason Edward Krug; three brothers, Robert Little of San Diego, CA, Randall Little and wife Connie of Mt. Carmel, and Walter Little and wife Brenda of Kingsport; sister, Roselee Necessary and husband Fred of Kingsport; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Ralph and Marybelle Jackson, Tim and Judy Frye, Ed and Karen Ford, and Charlie Gladson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and doctors at Holston Valley Medical Center and Select Specialty Hospital for his care and comfort.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, 965 Fordtown Road, Kingsport, TN 37663. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Dewey Shaffer, Rev. Joe Trent, and Brother Ed McClain officiating.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019, at East Lawn Memorial Park. Those attending committal services are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10 a.m. on Friday and then proceed to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Randall Little, Walter Little, Jonathan Little, Ralph Jackson, Charlie Puckett, Chad Christian, Tim Frye, Ed Ford. Honorary pallbearers will be Rex McMurray, Ed McClain, Mike Lane, Ralph Thacker, Charlie Gladson, Ralph Owens, Rick Kitzmiller, and Mike Barnes.
