Jolene Hubbard Townsend

Jolene Hubbard Townsend passed away in the hands of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, August 27, 2019.  She was born on April 6, 1939 in Sullivan County, TN and resided in Fairfax County VA for 37 years.  Jolene was a graduate of Sullivan High School and retired from the DMV in Virginia.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kent and Madeline Hubbard, and niece, Brenda Smith.

Jolene is survived by her husband of 60 years, Keys Townsend; 2 daughters, Diane and Jerry Blevins, and Sandy and David Begley; 3 grandsons, Derek Olson, Chris Blevins, and Dustin and Carrie Olson; the father of Derek and Dustin, John Olson; 2 step-grandchildren, Nate and Keelie Begley, and Racheal and Scott Pritchard; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Helen Williams Cosby, Shirley Light, and Barbara and Larry Smith; brother, Harold Hubbard; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor David Begley and Pastor Eddie McAmis officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at East Tennessee Cemetery.
