Lola Jean McCoy

Lola Jean McCoy went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 19, 2019, at Wexford House after an extended illness. She was born in and lived in Kingsport most of her life. Lola was a member of Bethel View Baptist Church, Blountville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry H. (Tim) McCoy and Dorothy Jo Doran McCoy; infant sister, Timothy Jane McCoy; paternal grandparents, William and Mary Alice S. McCoy; paternal grandparents, Joe Benjamin Doran and Lola Bates Doran; uncles, Ray O. Doran and Willie O. McCoy; and others.

Lola is survived by an aunt by marriage, Joan Doran and children, Vicky Cartwright (Tim) of Kingsport, Beverly Barrett (Robert) of Suffolk, VA, and Michael Doran (Karen) of Dalton, GA; and other aunts, uncles, and cousins in the McCoy family.

Graveside services will be at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019, at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Phil Whittemore officiating. Those attending graveside services are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 1:30 p.m.

The family would like to express thanks and appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Wexford House, and her caregivers at home, Jareta Sturgell and Pennie Crisp.
