Rita Hamilton

Rita Hamilton, 55, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Chicago, IL, she had resided in Kingsport for the past five years to be with her son and grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Martha Hamilton.

Rita is survived by her son, Cody Hamilton and wife Ginny; four grandchildren, Mitchell, C.J., Cole, and Carter; stepfather, John Noland; sister, Rhonda Franks; brother, Joey Hamilton; and one nephew, Jimmy Lee Franks.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, January 3, 2020 at St. Dominic Catholic Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Father Michael Cummins officiating.  A reception will follow the service at the church.
