Ruth Bray

Mrs. Ruth Bray, 95, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 31, 2019. Mrs. Bray taught music at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Kindergarten. She was a member of the first Girl Scout troop in Kingsport. Mrs. Bray played for the Miss Kingsport pageant for several years, and the Sammy DeVault Jazz Band. She was very instrumental in leading her great grandchildren in the field of music.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Bray.

Mrs. Bray is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Patricia B. Faris of Kingsport, and Mrs. Laura E. Morin and husband Robert of Johnson City, TN; three grandchildren, Paige Shipley and husband Robert, Holly Franklin and husband Greg, and Romin Morin; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Franklin and Logan Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2019, at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
