Shirley Ann Williams

Shirley Ann Williams, 80, passed away peacefully, on November 22nd, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Harlan, KY, Shirley had lived in Kingsport in 1968. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mae Middleton, three brothers, Dan Gibson, Crockett and Ed Middleton.

Shirley is survived by, daughter, Toni Stinson; son Richard Williams and wife Gladys; one granddaughter, Christie Merzlak and husband Joseph; two great grandchildren, Fox and Margot Merzlak; two sisters, Daisy Rohland and Jane Livesay; former husband, Otis Williams and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A service will follow at 6pm with Rev. Louis Meade officiating and a eulogy by her granddaughter, Christie Merzlak.

A graveside service will be conducted 10am Monday at Depew’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50am.
